In a practical sense, how do we accomplish this mission to “go and make disciples?” (Matthew 28:19)
Over the course of the years, we have developed a four step strategy with the goal in mind of reaching and teaching nationals to reach and teach their own.
THOSE FOUR STEPS ARE:
Reach
Evangelism takes place two ways:
[1] One-on-one as those who have been reached and discipled return home and reach their friends, family and schoolmates. In fact, the fruit of their ministry is evident. A good number of those attending each summer’s discipleship camps are the converts and disciples of past campers.
[2] The Russian outreach team trains and then goes out to minister in secular youth camps, and share the Gospel with young people from all across Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltics, and Kazakhstan. Over the past three years alone, over 1,000 young people have come to Christ through the ministry of the Russian team.
Train
Each summer, those who have come to Christ are invited to apply to attend one of our in-depth Bible camps where they are seriously and deeply discipled. The camps last about three weeks.
Equip
Veteran campers are trained to minister to others through the leadership discipleship camp, and through leadership conferences held throughout the year. These in-depth advanced discipleship camps are led by a team of pastors and lay people from the
United States .
Deploy
Those leaders are then deployed to minister hands on in three areas:
[1] Russian evangelism team shares the Gospel in youth camps.

[2] The discipleship camps are led by a Russian leadership team who teach the lessons, lead small groups, and in general handle every aspect of the camps.

[3] A Ukrainian and a Belarusian orphanage ministry team have been formed that travels one weekend a month to minister at orphanages in Ukraine and
Belarus respectively.

In summary, the four-step process comes full circle as those reached by those deployed then come as new believers to the discipleship, and then become leaders, and then themselves have the opportunity to minister beginning the cycle again.
